Rovers Chase Champions League

Blackburn are determined to finish their season with a flourish by claiming second place in the Premiership and qualifying for the Champions League. Combative midfielder Garry Flitcroft has targeted the Easter Monday clash with Arsenal as Blackburn's big game.

"If we can take points off Arsenal, then you never know what's going to happen," he told MATCH. "The lads will be disappointed if we don't finish second. The manager gives us the confidence to say that we should be in second spot. I know the lads believe that and we've got to knuckle down and see how far we can get. The Champions league would be nice and I think, with the season we've had, if we get there, we'd deserve it."

Rovers' mix of international players and established Premiership stars has gelled well to make a formidable outfit. "If you look through the team you can't see a weakness," said Flitcroft. "It's a good mixture here. Everyone can put their foot in and tackle and then everyone can pass the ball around, we've all got good engines and players throughout the team are scoring goals.
